The apparatus includes a first sensor configured to sense first hemodynamic data from a first radial artery; a second sensor configured to sense second hemodynamic data from a second radial artery; and an occlusion device , which is arranged to be positioned about a third main blood vessel from which the second main blood vessel branches, the occlusion device being operable to occlude the third main blood vessel for a predetermined period of time. The device, system and method are suitable for deriving risk indicators for one or more types of cardiovascular disease.
