titleOfInvention | Polycarbonate Polyols and Polyurethanes |
abstract | The present invention provides a polycarbonate polyol which is a raw material of polyurethane excellent in the balance of flexibility, mechanical strength, and solvent resistance. The polycarbonate polyol contains a structural unit derived from a polyol and has a hydroxyl value of 20 to 450 mgKOH/g. The polyhydric alcohol contains a diol (A) containing 70% by weight or more of the specific oxyalkylene glycol (A1) and a trivalent to hexavalent branched alcohol (B) having 3 to 12 carbon atoms. The structural unit derived from the branched alcohol (B) in the polycarbonate polyol is 0.005 to 5.0 mol % of the structural unit derived from the polyol. The ratio of the structural unit (X1) represented by the following formula (X1) to the structural unit derived from the branched alcohol (B) is 50 mol % or less. |
