The present invention relates to a general and efficient process for the preparation of acylphosphines, such as monoacylphosphines and bisacylphosphines, by reacting phosphines (pH 3 and higher homologues) or silylated phosphines with acid halides in the presence of at least one Lewis acid . The invention also relates to novel acylphosphines obtainable by said process. |
