The strain was obtained by compound mutagenesis of protoplasts with lithium chloride and cobalt 60 radiation, and the gibberellin GA 3 production of this strain was increased by 20%. The method has the advantages of high titer, easy extraction of the final product, etc., and overcomes the shortcomings of low fermentation titer and high cost of the original process.
