It is prepared by a method comprising the following steps: I) preparing a solid mixture having the following composition: a) α-Al 2 O 3 having a particle size of 10-30 μm; b) α-Al 2 O 3 having a particle size of 1-5 μm; c ) pseudo-monohydrate Al 2 O 3 with particle size less than 75 μm; d) burnable lubricating material; e) silicon-containing compound; f) zirconium-containing compound; g) boric acid; h) polyvinylpyrrolidone; A binder is added to the mixture for kneading and molding to obtain a green sample body; III) drying and calcining the green sample body obtained in step II) to obtain the α-alumina carrier. The silver catalyst prepared by the carrier of the present invention can carry out the reaction of ethylene oxidation to produce ethylene oxide, and can achieve both high activity and selectivity. |
