abstract The present invention provides a sealing device capable of suppressing an increase in sliding resistance and stabilizing the sliding resistance even if guide marks are formed in the contact portion of the lip. The sealing device (1) has a reinforcing ring (10) that is annular around the axis (x), and an elastic body portion (20) that is annular around the axis (x), the elastic body portion (20) being mounted on the reinforcing ring ( 10), and is formed of an elastomer. The elastic body part (20) has a side lip (21), a middle lip (22), and a grease lip (23). Grease (G) as a lubricant is applied to the inner peripheral side surfaces (21a), (22a), (23a) of the side lip (21), the middle lip (22), and the grease lip (23), respectively. The grease (G) does not contain a urea-based thickener in the thickener. When the sealing device (1) is in use, the cross-sectional area (A) of the interlip space (S) surrounded by the side lip (21), the middle lip (22) and the hub ring (55) is 3.5 mm 2 or more.
