abstract The present invention relates to a synthetic method of thalidomide which can be industrialized. Specifically, the present invention discloses a method for directly synthesizing thalidomide crude product through a two-step reaction "one-pot method" using phthalic anhydride and L-glutamic acid as raw materials, and then refining and purifying to obtain a finished product . Synthesis of thalidomide through a two-step reaction "one-pot method" does not require special equipment such as microwave heating, nor does it require the synthesis of thalidomide anhydride intermediates, which reduces the intermediate reaction process, avoids the use of acetic anhydride, and simplifies the Operation, reduces labor intensity, improves production efficiency, is green and friendly to the environment, and has high economic and social value.
