abstract The present invention provides a thermistor sintered body capable of suppressing the B constant at 1000° C. to the same level as that of the conventional wide-range type. The thermistor sintered body of the present invention is composed of a composite structure including a Y 2 O 3 phase and a Y(Cr,Mn)O 3 phase or a YMnO 3 phase. The thermistor sintered body according to one aspect of the present invention has chemical compositions of Cr, Mn, Ca, and Y other than oxygen: Cr: 3 to 9 mol %, Mn: 5 to 15 mol %, and Ca: 1 to 8 mol % (wherein, Cr/Mn<1.0), the remainder is the chemical composition of unavoidable impurities and Y. The B constant (B(0/1000)) obtained by the following formula (1) for the thermistor sintered body is 2400K or less. B=(lnRm−lnRn)/(1/Tm−1/Tn)...(1) Rm: resistance value at 0°C Rn: resistance value at 1000°C Tm: 0°C Tn: 1000°C.
