abstract The present disclosure provides devices and methods for reducing interfering compounds in biological samples. In one embodiment, a device for reducing target-interfering compounds in a biological sample is disclosed, the device comprising a binding agent attached to a solid support, the binding agent capable of binding a target-interfering compound within the biological sample, wherein Binding of the target interfering compound to the binding agent reduces the amount of the target interfering compound in the biological sample. In other embodiments, there is provided a method of reducing the amount of a target interfering compound in a biological sample, the method comprising: adding a binding agent to the sample, wherein the binding agent binds the sample at a higher level than the binding agent binding the target interfering compound with the affinity of other components in the compound.
