A method for producing paraxylene, comprising the steps of: a preparation step of preparing a C4 fraction containing at least isobutene as a fluid catalytic cracking product of a heavy oil fraction; and a dimerization step of contacting a first raw material containing the isobutene The dimerization catalyst produces the C8 component including the dimer of isobutene; and the cyclization step involves contacting the second raw material including the C8 component with the dehydrogenation catalyst to generate paraxylene through the cyclodehydrogenation reaction of the C8 component. |
