abstract The invention relates to an optical imaging device and method for underwater plankton, comprising: an optical imaging unit (1), which is used for collecting scattered light or fluorescence emitted by underwater plankton irradiated by the laser lighting unit to detect underwater plankton. Biological imaging; a laser illumination unit (2), comprising a laser illumination module for illuminating an underwater imaging area; wherein, the laser illumination module performs imaging illumination by emitting a fan-shaped light layer to the illumination center. Compared with the existing devices and methods, the present invention can improve the contrast and signal-to-noise ratio of underwater plankton imaging, which is beneficial to the subsequent identification and quantification of plankton based on image analysis; in addition, the present invention can also expand the optics of underwater plankton. The application methods and application scenarios of imaging, while reducing the power consumption of the system, realizes the compactness, miniaturization and intelligence of the system.
