abstract The invention discloses a molecular marker of an NR3C2 gene related to chicken reproductive traits and application thereof. According to the invention, a group of primers NR11 are designed according to published red original chicken sequences, a segment of sequences of 3076 bp-3846 bp of NR3C2 genes of Laiwu black chicken and Hailan brown laying chicken are amplified respectively, and sequence comparison finds that the 3493 site of the NR3C2 gene of the chicken has G → A mutation, so that polymorphism appears in TaqI-RFLP detection. The PCR product is digested by TapI restriction endonuclease and then detected by agarose gel electrophoresis, three types of bands of GG, GA and AA can be obtained, wherein the GG genotype is related to high reproductive performance, and a scientific basis can be established for genetic improvement of local chicken breeds.
