titleOfInvention Modified Nucleotide Triphosphates for Molecular Electronic Sensors
abstract In various embodiments, signal enhancement processes and novel modified dNTPs are disclosed for single molecule molecular sensors. Typically, the enhancement process involves providing a molecular electronic sensor comprising a polymerase, providing a nucleotide template and a modified dNTP in an appropriate buffer for the polymerase, wherein, relative to the properties of the corresponding native dNTP, the Incorporation of modified dNTPs during the period provides an enhanced electrical signal or improved signal-to-noise ratio for the incorporated events.
