The negative electrode material provided by the present application satisfies the following relational expressions (1) and ( 2 ): 0.8≤0.06×(Dv50) 2-2.5×Dv50+Dv99≤12(1), 1.2≤0.2×Dv50-0.006×(Dv50 ) 2 +BET≤5(2), where Dv50 represents the particle size distribution of the negative electrode material on a volume basis, and 50% of the particles have a particle size smaller than this value, Dv99 represents the negative electrode material in the particle size distribution on a volume basis, 99 % particle size is smaller than this value, and BET is the specific surface area of the negative electrode material, wherein the unit of Dv50 and Dv99 is μm and the unit of BET is m 2 /g. The negative electrode material can significantly improve the rate capability of the electrochemical device.
