abstract A system and method for transmitting a dose history configured to represent the mean and variability of a distribution applied by a subject having a treatment regimen with respect to injections of blood glucose regulating drugs. Past records were obtained from insulin pens to which the regimen was applied. Each record specifies the amount and type of medication injected, which is one of a blood glucose regulating medication and a timestamp. A single-shape polygon (231) is assigned to each record, wherein the single-shape polygon (231) is configured to visualize a polygon (261) having a two-dimensional shape in the displayed schema. The single-shape polygons are used to create a set of multi-shape data structures including corresponding multi-shape polygons (244) configured to have two-dimensional shapes in the displayed schema (260). The polygons (265) are visualized. The multi-shaped polygon is configured to be displayed with increased intensity depending on the number of overlapping single-shaped polygons used to define the multi-shaped polygon. The method also includes transmitting display data (247) comprising (i) the plurality of sets of medication records and (ii) the set of multi-shape data structures (240).
