abstract |
The present invention relates to a silica aerogel composite comprising a hydrophilic surface-modified hydrophobic silica aerogel and an organic UV blocking agent supported in the pores of the silica aerogel. The silica aerogel composite of the present invention does not cause skin irritation because the organic ultraviolet blocking agent that induces skin irritation is stably supported inside the silica aerogel with minimal contact with the skin. In addition, the silica aerogel composite has a high organic UV blocking agent content/unit weight, and exhibits excellent blocking effect against both UVA and UVB compared with conventional UV blocking agents. |
