Geopolymer resin materials, geopolymer materials and materials prepared therefrom |
abstract |
The present invention relates to geopolymer resin materials, geopolymer materials and materials prepared therefrom. An article is formed from a first material comprising a geopolymer resin material, a geopolymer resin, or a combination thereof by contacting the first material with a fluid, and removing at least a portion of the fluid to obtain a product. The first material may be formed by heating and/or aging an initial geopolymer resin material to obtain the first material prior to contacting the first material with the fluid. In some cases, contact of the first material with the fluid pulverizes or disintegrates the first material (eg, in response to contact with the fluid and in the absence of external mechanical stress) to form particles with external dimensions of 1 nm to 2 cm. |
