The present invention relates to vesicles derived from bacteria of the genus propionibacterium and uses thereof. Experiments demonstrated that production of vesicles derived from bacteria of the genus propionibacterium is increased in vivo by a high-fat diet instead of a high-carbohydrate diet; a significant reduction in vesicles in the blood of patients with cancer (such as breast cancer and liver cancer), inflammatory diseases (such as asthma and atopic dermatitis), and metabolic diseases (such as diabetes and liver cirrhosis) compared to normal persons; the vesicles inhibit the secretion of inflammatory mediators by pathogenic vesicles, inhibit keratinocyte apoptosis, and increase the expression of androgen receptors in vivo. It is expected that the vesicles derived from propionibacterium bacteria according to the present invention are advantageously used in methods of diagnosing or predicting cancer, inflammatory diseases, endocrine diseases, or metabolic diseases, pharmaceutical compositions, foods, cosmetics, and the like. |
