abstract |
The invention discloses a gray spot disease resistance-related protein ZmWAK-RLK and its encoding gene and application. The protein provided by the present invention is obtained from the maize inbred line Y32, named ZmWAK-RLK protein, and is the protein shown in Sequence 1 in the sequence table. Nucleic acid molecules encoding ZmWAK-RLK proteins also belong to the protection scope of the present invention. The present invention also protects a method for preparing a transgenic plant, comprising the steps of: introducing the nucleic acid molecule into a starting plant to obtain a transgenic plant with enhanced resistance to gray spot disease. The present invention also protects a plant breeding method, comprising the following steps: increasing the content and/or activity of ZmWAK-RLK protein in the target plant, thereby improving the resistance to gray spot disease of the target plant. The invention has great application value for the breeding of maize resistance to gray spot disease. |
