abstract | The present invention provides a mutant filamentous bacterium having an improved C4 dicarboxylic acid-producing ability and a method for producing C4 dicarboxylic acid using the same. A mutant filamentous fungus, wherein expression of at least one polypeptide selected from the group consisting of: a polypeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence shown in sequence No. 2; a polypeptide which is composed of an amino acid sequence having at least 90% identity to the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 2 and has a malic enzyme activity; and a polypeptide having a malic enzyme activity, which comprises an amino acid sequence obtained by deleting, substituting, adding or inserting one or more amino acids from the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO. 2. |
