An object of the present invention is to provide a molding material containing an EVOH resin pellet group excellent in feedability during melt extrusion molding. The present invention is a molding material comprising a pellet group having at least 20 ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification pellets, each of which constitutes the aforementioned ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification pellet group The material is a pellet whose surface is composed of a closed curved surface, and the maximum outer diameter of the pellet is set as the long diameter, and the minimum diameter in the cross section with the largest area in the cross section perpendicular to the long diameter is set as the short diameter. The average value of the major diameter/minor diameter ratio of the 20 pellets taken out of the group was 1.6 or less, and the standard deviation of the major diameter/minor diameter ratio was 0.13 or less. |
