Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for peripheral nerve stimulation, particularly for the treatment of tremor. Nerve stimulation can be accomplished with a wearable nerve stimulation device, such as a strap configured to be worn on a wrist or other body part. The device enables targeted nerve stimulation using circumferentially spaced electrodes. In some embodiments, the device may use only the same number of electrodes as the number of nerves to be stimulated. Biphasic charge-balanced waveforms can be used to selectively stimulate nerves near one of the active electrodes, but not nerves near the other active electrodes. The device can be reused for long periods of time using dry electrodes. The dry electrode may include a conductive base layer and a skin contact layer of polymer, plastic or rubber containing conductive fillers. Fillers can be powders, fibers, conductive coatings, and the like. |
