The invention discloses a technical system for creating a maize dwarf stalk inbred line by utilizing a constitutive promoter Ubiquitin and a male flower development gene ZmMs1 construct and a method for application in maize agricultural production. The construct contains two gene expression cassettes: a gene expression cassette that results in the acquisition of a dwarf stalk phenotype in maize, and a herbicide resistance expression cassette. By introducing the construct into maize callus, a maize transgenic dwarf line can be obtained, and the specific performance is that the number of nodes remains unchanged and the pitch is shortened. Using the technical methods of backcross breeding and molecular marker-assisted selection, the creation of dwarf inbred lines under a wide range of excellent genetic backgrounds can be quickly realized, which has important application value in maize breeding and agricultural production. |
