The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a friction part from a composite material, the method comprising at least the steps of: densifying a carbon yarn fiber preform with a matrix comprising at least pyrolytic carbon and ZrO x C y phase, wherein 1≤x≤2 and 0≤y≤1, the matrix is formed by film boiling or by chemical vapor infiltration from a first precursor for obtaining pyrolytic carbon and a second precursor comprising zirconium, the second precursor being a zirconium complex compounds, which contain zirconium-bonded alkoxy or carboxylate ligands. |
