titleOfInvention Nonlinear Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) Circuits with Machine Learning Attack Resistance
abstract Embodiments include apparatus, methods, and systems for physically unclonable function (PUF) circuits. The PUF circuit may include an array of PUF cells for generating corresponding response bits of the authentication code in response to the challenge bit string. The PUF unit may include a cross-coupled pair of inverters, each inverter including an independently selectable pull-down branch or pull-up branch. Based on the challenge bit string, one of the pull-up or pull-down branches of each inverter can be selectively activated. The PUF unit may further include first and second configurable clock delay circuits for passing respective clock signals to the precharge transistors of the PUF unit. The dark bitmask circuit can generate a soft dark bitmask for the PUF circuit. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
