Described is a process for preparing polycarbonate by the reaction of one or more diaryl carbonates with one or more aromatic hydroxy compounds, first mixing in a mixing device, and arriving as a feed mixture into a feed mixture vessel for subsequent reaction to polycarbonate in one or more reactors at reduced pressure and elevated temperature, wherein the mixture of diaryl carbonate and aromatic hydroxy compound is in a gaseous state before entering the feedstock mixture vessel Purification is carried out in a countercurrent method with an inert gas in the extraction apparatus. The invention furthermore relates to a stripping device, which is particularly suitable for purifying a feedstock mixture stream, and to the use of such a stripping device in a process for the production of polycarbonate. |
