The invention adopts a high performance liquid chromatography-octadecyl silica gel chromatographic column separation technology to separate and purify saccharides, then converts hydroxyl groups on molecules of the saccharides into carbonyl groups through oxidation by a strong oxidant, and performs a derivative reaction with a fluorescent sensing compound under certain temperature and time conditions to generate a derivative compound containing fluorescent developing groups, and finally adopts a fluorescence detector to realize rapid quantitative and qualitative detection. The method for measuring the sugar and the sugar alcohol compounds has stable and reliable data, and the detection limit can be improved to the ppm level.
