titleOfInvention Input control using pressure sensor
abstract The invention provides an input control using a pressure sensor. Input controls for controlling various features of an electronic device are described. The input control is positionable along an exterior surface of the electronic device and covers an opening to the electronic device. A pressure sensor may then be positioned within the electronic device and adjacent to the covered opening. The pressure sensor is capable of measuring a pressure of a volume of air positioned between the pressure sensor and the input control. Sensor readings from the pressure sensor may be used to register user input when movement of the input control changes the pressure of the volume of air. The input controls may take a variety of forms, including rocker buttons, slider switches, and input regions.
