abstract The application provides a method and a device for measuring and calculating a utilization coefficient of water in a tail end channel, wherein the method comprises the following steps: acquiring an image of a test irrigation area; positioning a tail end channel required to measure and calculate the water utilization coefficient of the tail end channel in the image; determining a non-field channel of the tail end channel according to the image; determining a water inlet on the tail end channel as a water inlet metering point, and determining a water outlet on the non-field channel as a water outlet metering point; after metering instruments are respectively arranged on each water outlet metering point and each water inlet metering point, the flow of each metering point is obtained according to the metering data of each metering instrument; and determining the utilization coefficient of the water in the end canal according to the flow of each metering point. According to the embodiment of the application, the metering points in the test irrigation area can be determined through the image processing technology, so that the utilization coefficient of the water in the tail end canal can be determined, the problems of long consumed time and low efficiency caused by manual determination of the metering points in the prior art are solved, and the efficiency of measurement and calculation of the utilization coefficient of the water in the tail end canal is improved.
