The invention discloses a method for preparing alcohol compound by non-catalytic reaction of aromatic carboxylic acid. In an inert gas atmosphere, the pinacol borane and the carboxylic acid are stirred and mixed uniformly in the dehydration and deoxygenated reaction flask, and the boric acid ester is obtained after the reaction for 6-12 hours, which is further hydrolyzed to alcohol; the carboxylic acid is benzoic acid , 4-bromobenzoic acid, 4-fluorobenzoic acid, 1-naphthoic acid, 2-methoxybenzoic acid, etc. The present invention utilizes carboxylic acid to efficiently undergo hydroboration reaction with borane under catalyst-free conditions for the first time, and provides a new scheme for preparing boric acid ester through hydroboration reaction of carbonyl compound and borane, and further hydrolyzing to alcohol. |
