titleOfInvention Method for producing light calcium carbonate and magnesium sulfate heptahydrate from salt slurry
abstract The invention provides a method for producing light calcium carbonate and magnesium sulfate heptahydrate from salt slurry. The method comprises the steps of mixing the salt slurry (the main components of magnesium hydroxide and calcium carbonate) generated in the brine refining process with calcium sulfate, adding a certain amount of water for pulping, introducing carbon dioxide for carbonization reaction to convert the calcium sulfate and the magnesium hydroxide into calcium carbonate precipitate and soluble magnesium sulfate, and then filtering to realize calcium-magnesium salt separation. And drying the filter cake to obtain a light calcium carbonate product, and concentrating, crystallizing and drying the filtrate to obtain a magnesium sulfate heptahydrate product. The process comprehensively utilizes calcium and magnesium salts in the salt slurry to obtain light calcium carbonate and magnesium sulfate heptahydrate products, and simultaneously fixes greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, so that harmless comprehensive utilization of the salt slurry is realized, and certain economic benefit can be obtained.
