titleOfInvention Sample processing for microscopy
abstract In some cases, an apparatus can include: a photosensitive imaging sensor having a surface that receives a fluid sample; a body that moves relative to the photosensitive imaging sensor and has a surface that contacts a portion of the fluid sample; and a carrier that orients the body toward the photosensitive imaging sensor The surface is moved such that the surface of the body contacts a portion of the fluid sample such that when the surface of the body contacts a portion of the fluid, the surface of the body is (i) parallel to the surface of the photosensitive imaging sensor and (ii) settles independently of the motion of the carrier on top of the fluid sample.
