Two-component polyurethane adhesive with essentially temperature-independent mechanical properties and high strength |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a two-component polyurethane composition comprising at least 55% by weight of polybutadiene polyol and at least one latent curing agent, based on the total amount of all polyols having an average molecular weight of at least 500 g/mol, wherein the latent curing agent The ratio of the number of reactive groups to the number of OH-groups present is in the range of 0.02 to 0.4. The compositions have long open times, bubble-free cure, very low glass transition temperatures, high elasticity and surprisingly high strength that is very constant over a wide temperature range. It also adheres very well to metallic and non-metallic substrates with little stress cracking on glassy thermoplastics. It is therefore very suitable as a structural elastic adhesive that requires bonding over a wide temperature range. |
