The present invention relates to a zeolite adsorbent in the form of agglomerates having: - a tortuosity factor τ strictly greater than 1 and strictly less than 3, calculated from the pore distribution measured by mercury intrusion porosimetry, -25%- 35% porosity εp, determined by mercury porosimetry, where Vma represents the macropore volume, Vme represents the mesopore volume and Vg represents the grain volume of the adsorbent in cm 3 .g ‑1 . The invention also relates to a process for its preparation and a process for separating para-xylene from an isomer fraction of aromatic hydrocarbons containing 8 carbon atoms by adsorbing para-xylene by means of said adsorbent. |
