The invention relates to the field of catalysts, and discloses an α-alumina carrier, a silver catalyst for ethylene epoxidation and an ethylene oxidation method. The α-alumina carrier is prepared by a method comprising the following steps: S1. The preparation has the following components solid mixture of: a) α-Al 2 O 3 trihydrate with a median particle size of 25-200 μm, b) pseudomonohydrate Al 2 O 3 with a median particle size of 10-100 μm, c) alkaline earth metal compounds, d ) fluoride mineralizer, then the solid mixture is mixed with e) burnable liquid lubricating material, f) binder and optionally g) water to obtain a mixture; S2. the mixture obtained in step S1 is shaped , to obtain a molded body; S3. Drying and calcining the molded body obtained in step S2. The silver catalyst prepared by the α-alumina carrier provided by the invention has the advantages of higher activity and selectivity for the reaction of ethylene oxide to produce ethylene oxide. |
