abstract The invention discloses a sensing element, which comprises a conductive substrate, a zinc oxide seed layer, a plurality of zinc oxide nano-pillars, an electric double-layer film and an organic sensing layer. A zinc oxide seed layer is located on the conductive substrate. These zinc oxide nanopillars extend from the zinc oxide seed layer. These ZnO nanopillars are covered by an electrically double-layered film. The organic sensing layer is located on the electric double-layer film. The sensing element has the advantages of high sensitivity, long service life, and prevention of deterioration of zinc oxide nanopillars.
