titleOfInvention | Engineered phenylalanine ammonia lyase polypeptide |
abstract | The present application relates to engineered phenylalanine ammonia lyase polypeptides. In particular, the present application provides engineered phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) polypeptides and compositions thereof, and polynucleotides encoding engineered phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) polypeptides. In some embodiments, the engineered PLA polypeptides are optimized to provide enhanced catalytic activity, as well as reduced susceptibility to proteolysis and increased tolerance to acidic pH levels. In some embodiments, the engineered PLA polypeptide is deimmunized. The present application also relates to the use of compositions comprising engineered PAL polypeptides for therapeutic and industrial purposes. |
