titleOfInvention 3D flexible bag to be filled with biopharmaceutical fluid and method of making such bag
abstract The 3-D flexible bag (1) to be filled with biopharmaceutical products is the result of assembling two wall elements (2, 3) and two liners (11, 12). At least one connection port (4, 6) is also provided for filling and/or emptying. Due to the unfolding of the gusset in combination with the folding of the flaps (21, 22, 31, 32) of the two wall elements, a substantially parallelepiped configuration is obtained in the filled state. A transverse weld (140, 150) formed at one end joins the two wall elements (2, 3) of the bag and extends continuously, keeping the following in the folded flat state: - Elongation of a gusset (11) edge; - the elongated edge of the other gusset (12). The transverse weld has a length corresponding to the determined dimension (L2) of the flexible bag in the parallelepiped configuration.
