abstract |
An electronic cigarette comprising: a ceramic heating element comprising an electrically conductive heating element on and/or in a body of liquid impermeable ceramic material; a liquid delivery element that delivers liquid from a liquid storage device to the heating element; a battery; and an electrical circuit for electrically connecting the heating element to the battery. The body of ceramic material will contact or be in close proximity to the liquid delivery member to heat the liquid delivered by the liquid delivery member to vaporize the liquid when the ceramic heating element generates heat. The electronic cigarette includes: a cartridge portion including the liquid storage device and the liquid delivery member; and a battery receiving portion including the battery, the ceramic heating element, and the electrical circuit. In the assembled state of the electronic cigarette, the cartridge part is assembled with the battery accommodating part. In the disassembled state, the cartridge part and the battery receiving part are separated from each other. |
