The invention relates to a size-controllable ultrafine CuFeO2 nanosheet and its preparation and application. The specific preparation process of the nanosheet is as follows: (1) taking ferrous ammonium sulfate or ferrous ammonium sulfate hexahydrate as an iron source, and a divalent The copper source is sequentially added into pure water to dissolve, and then the alkali source is added under stirring to form a mixed solution; (2) the mixed solution is transferred to the reaction kettle for solvothermal reaction, and the obtained reaction precipitate is washed and separated to obtain ultrafine CuFeO 2 nanosheets.
