abstract In order to solve the deficiencies of the prior art, the present invention provides a method for controlling citrus roots, comprising: S1. assembling a root-control container, and placing a culture medium in the root-control container. S2. Implant citrus seedlings in the culture medium. S3. Immerse the root container of the citrus seedlings in the culture solution once every time interval, until the rooting of the seedlings is finished. The root container of step S1 comprises a cylindrical hard outer wall. The cylindrical hard outer wall is provided with a circular arc-shaped protrusion. The circular arc-shaped protrusion faces the outside of the cylindrical hard outer wall, and is provided with air holes at the top end of the protrusion. A unidirectional water permeable membrane is attached to the inner side of the cylindrical hard outer wall. The water permeable direction of the one-way water permeable membrane is from the outside of the cylindrical hard outer wall toward the inside of the cylinder. The root-controlling technique of the invention can make the citrus roots orderly, almost no packing phenomenon, and the space utilization rate is reasonable.
