abstract The invention discloses a method for synthesizing benzyl alcohol by catalytic hydrogenation of benzophenone. The multi-component catalyst is Pd-Cu-Sn/C, the carrier is activated carbon, the active component is Pd, and the auxiliary agents are Cu and Sn, wherein the loading amount of Pd is 1-10wt%, and the loading amount of Cu is 1-5wt% %, the loading of Sn is 1-5 wt%; the protective agent is sodium acetate. The method of the invention can improve the conversion rate of benzophenone and the selectivity of benzyl alcohol.
