The invention discloses a water-repellent agent for prolonging the shelf life of poultry meat. The water-repellent agent is composed of glucose, glutamine, calcium acetate, potassium citrate, sorbitol, sodium glutamate and purified water. Drinking the water-retaining agent of the present invention before the poultry slaughter can significantly reduce the pH value of the poultry meat and prolong the shelf life of the poultry meat. |
