abstract | A fiber treatment agent for short fibers which is excellent in discoloration resistance and generates little scum in cotton production. A fiber and a nonwoven fabric to which the treatment agent is attached are provided. The fiber treatment agent for short fibers essentially comprises a component (A), a component (B) and a component (C), wherein the component (A) accounts for 10-60 wt% of nonvolatile components of the treatment agent, the component (B) accounts for 20-60 wt%, and the component (C) accounts for 5-40 wt%. Component (A): alkyl phosphate ester salts having a hydrocarbon group having 14 to 22 carbon atoms and/or polyoxyalkylene group-containing alkyl phosphate ester salts having a hydrocarbon group having 14 to 22 carbon atoms; component (B): an ester compound of an alcohol having a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms and a fatty acid having a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms; component (C): a silicone compound. |
