The present invention describes an aqueous coating composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of a free-radically polymerized addition polymer and a layered silicate. The aqueous polymer dispersions have particularly low electrical conductivity. The composition can be used to provide oxygen barrier properties to polymeric films. |
