abstract The invention provides a preparation method of a fabric stiffening agent, which comprises the following steps of firstly preparing (2-acryloyloxyethyl) quaternary ammonium alginate, then carrying out emulsion polymerization by taking 1, 3-bis (ethylene oxide methyl) -5- (2-propenyl) -1,3, 5-triazine-2, 4,6(1H,3H,5H) -trione, allyl cyclodextrin, isobutyl methacrylate and (2-acryloyloxyethyl) quaternary ammonium alginate as monomers, and adding dimethylol dihydroxyethylene urea for carrying out polycondensation reaction to obtain the fabric stiffening agent. The method is simple and easy to implement, has low dependence on equipment, and the prepared fabric stiffening agent has higher stiffness, bending resistance length and breaking strength, more excellent performance stability, better stiffening effect and no harm to human bodies.
