A medicine for treating neuroinflammation comprises cornu Cervi Pantotrichum extract. The invention provides a new application of the pilose antler extract, the pilose antler alcohol extract can inhibit the microglia induced by lipopolysaccharide from generating inflammatory factors, and correspondingly, can be used for protecting the microglia induced by lipopolysaccharide; cornu Cervi Pantotrichum extract is used for inhibiting the production of NO messenger molecules in microglia. Further, the antler alcohol extract group can protect microglia. Microglia (also called BV2 cell) is an immune cell of central nervous system, which indicates that the antler alcohol extract can be used for preparing medicines for treating neuroinflammation.
