An electrochromic device may include a substrate, a transparent conductive oxide layer on the substrate, and bus bars on the substrate. The bus bars may include silver and have a resistivity of up to 6.7 x 10-6 Ω*cm, as determined by Method A of ASTM B905-00 (reapproved 2010), based on 20 measurements, at least 3N against SiO Average bond strength of 2 , or at least 4 categories as determined by Method B of ASTM B905‑00 (reapproved 2010). In another aspect, a method of forming an electrochromic device can include forming a transparent conductive oxide layer on a substrate; forming a busbar precursor on the substrate, wherein the precursor includes silver; and firing the precursors to form bus bars. Firing may be performed such that the first bus bar is at a temperature of at least 390°C. |
