abstract | The present invention provides an aluminum chelate-based latent curing agent which can exhibit good storage stability and solvent resistance at room temperature without impairing the low-temperature rapid curability of a resin composition when the resin composition is prepared by blending an aluminum chelate-based latent curing agent, which is obtained by retaining an aluminum chelating agent in porous resin particles obtained by interfacial polymerization of a polyfunctional isocyanate compound, with an alicyclic epoxy resin exhibiting very high cationic polymerizability, to prepare a one-pack type thermosetting epoxy resin composition. The aluminum chelate-based latent curing agent for curing a thermosetting epoxy resin is obtained by holding an aluminum chelating agent in a porous resin obtained by interfacial polymerization of a polyfunctional isocyanate compound and subjecting the resin to a surface activity-suppressing treatment with an epoxyalkoxysilane coupling agent. |
