titleOfInvention | Apparatus and method for coupling between a colonoscope and add-on tube |
abstract | A sleeve assembly for coupling between an endoscope insertion tube and one or more add-on tubes, the sleeve assembly comprising: an inner sleeve defining an elongate lumen having an open end and having an expanded state sized to circumferentially receive at least 70% of a length of the endoscope insertion tube longitudinally disposed within the inner sleeve; an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve; one or more additional tubes extending longitudinally between the inner and outer sleeves; wherein the inner sleeve is collapsible from said expanded state to fit closely over said received length of the endoscope insertion tube; and wherein the outer sleeve is configured to radially collapse to close the endoscope on the additional tube and collapse the inner sleeve while allowing at least some movement of the additional tube relative to the endoscope. |
